4x4xPressOffice launched at the Exhibiting Show.

We took our newly converted go-anywhere press/organiser's office to the Exhibiting Show to be the press office for the show. Capitalising on the self contained power and IT capability it provided journalists with the facility to access news from exhibitors that had been uploaded to the Exhibiting Show website.

The vehicle proved to be a major success, especially with several visitors who were seeking an operations office that was of a size and capability to access small venues where larger vehicles could not be used. Because it has its own power supply, IT network and 3G connectivity, it is entirely self sufficient.

This independence appealed to an organiser of three West Country Festivals, a stage lighting company and a venue rigging operation.

The vehicle was converted to allow us to provide PR support to our clients irrespective of location. As one visitor pointed out we have immunised ourselves against any external failings. This means we can turn up and get down to work without having to chase down power and connectivity. However, the greatest surprise was when a major event company asked how many vehicles we had and how much per day, we now seem to have a new avenue of business – an exciting opportunity.

Powered by a Subaru engine and having some of the most capable off-road capability available, it can go just about anywhere whilst remaining fully usable as a press or organisers office. It has seven full adult seats, the middle two swivel round to face backwards and a desk slots in between providing five work places in the rear. Even in this configuration the rear luggage space remains unaffected offering exceptional capacity. Power is provided by a quiet generator that plugs directly into the van, or as in this case, it can plug into an exhibition power supply. The vehicle can be supplied with a fully equipped IT system – Linux based it is light and quick and requires no licences for any of the software used. Available for use anywhere in the UK, its Subaru power-plant provides modern, efficient, reliability.

A driver/technician is supplied with the vehicle to ensure that customers can concentrate on doing their job without concern for the vehicle.
